For those using Windows 7 to 8:
Step 01. Go to Windows Start Menu > Run
Step 02. Type services.msc and click OK
Step 03. Find and Double Click on Google Update Service.
Step 04. Under the General tab, Change the Startup Type setting to Disabled.
Step 05. Right under Startup type, click Stop button. Then click Apply and then Ok.
For those using Windows 10:
Step 01. Click on the Windows 10 search bar, type «msconfig» and press «Enter».
step 02. You can also use a combination of hot keys Win + R and in the opened window type a query «msconfig», then click «Enter».
Step 03. Next, go to the tab “Services”, select “Hide all Microsoft Services” option, and then uncheck: «Google Update Service (gupdate)» and «Google Update Service (gupdatem)».
Step 04. After that, to check the windows system reaction to the changes that were made, click “Apply”, and then, if everything is in order, click “OK”.
